Have you considered a gift with a difference?
Have you considered a tribute to someone with an Aussie flavour to it?
What about wedding vows no one will forget?
Yes I can, and for the most part have, written these for other people.
All I need are the bullet points of what you want to say and what your budget is, and time of course. Quality work takes time, so the more time you can give me, the better your poem will be.
Once you've told me who, or what the poem is for and what your budget is, I will write a first draft and get in touch either via email or phone. Once I have received payment, I will forward the poem for you to read. The only additional cost from that point, are additional stanzas. Any and all edits are included in the price as well.
I am desiging a number of packages ranging from just an email package right through to desiging posters with your poem on it. Wedding vows include palm cards and a digital recording so you can hear the ebb and flow of your poem, plus to help you learn your poem so you can recite it from memory.
Unfortunately I am not taking orders at the moment but you can email me your expression of interest. Once I have the new pakages in place I will contct you.
If you are interested, email matthewlangdon@outlook.com and let me know what the occasion is and who it is for and when you were hoping to have it. Please do not give me details of what you want to say, I will ask for them when I get back on touch.
We’ll have this one for you
I'd like to tell a story
Bout a good old Aussie bloke
A true blue collar larrikin
A man who liked a joke
A family man down to the bone
And a mate to many
As typical as an Aussie gets
But bloody tight with money
He did his time defending
Our Aussie way of life
He fought off shore for you and me
A Digger now for life
When he came back he worked his fingers
Down til they were bone
Paid his dues when they were owed
And built his dream, his home
You'd think he was a pushy prick
D9's become his life
A boy out with his Tonka
Livin out a grown man’s life
Anyone'd get a go
As long as they would work
But he was built like his D9
And expected you to work
He should have been the Marlborough man
No other smoke would do
And every year on Anzac day
He'd sink a brew or two
Then there was his pocket knife
It never left his side
And even to the throne his wireless
Hung in for the ride
Holden was his car of choice
An icon of his land
And loved to watch his footy
Balmain was the brand
I don't what else I can say
About this boy from Oz
I hope that this is good enough
To tell you who he was
So there it is, me tale about
This typical Aussie bloke
Someone who could spin a yarn
And the odd dirty joke
So light a Marlborough, raise your glass
And say your last ooh-roo
Frank we'll bloody miss ya
We'll have this one for you
