There are no words in language that I could ever use
Or any form of utterance that I could ever choose
That could explain Your majesty, or who You truly are
Or give the praise and glory that You deserve by far
I could call on every Name by which You are known
I could call down every sign You have ever shown
There is nothing I can say, or I could ever do
That could be counted worthy, or good enough for You
It’s through the Blood of Jesus back when He was slain
And through Your Holy Spirit, You've made me born again
It’s my acceptance of these Gifts that truly sets me free
I thank You, praise You, honour You, that You’ve adopted me

It took the passing of a mate to make me think of you
The good, the bad, the in-between, the things we used to do
The fact that life’s not permanent, in fact it’s barely fleeting
I'm hoping this will make me really cherish every greeting
Its really got me thinking about what happens next
Things of the eternal can leave us all perplexed
Most don’t give a second thought hoping for the best
But are you sure what happens once you reach eternal rest?
Now I’m not trying to preach or bible bash you to submission
Where you spend eternity, well that is your decision
There is one thing I’m asking, and please do not ignore
Just have a cuppa with the Bloke that knocks on your heart’s door
As human beings we like to joke about the things that scare us
The paradox and the unknown we’d rather joke and cuss
That’s why we joke that we’ll be kings if we end up in hell
But the horrors of that woeful place words simply cannot tell!
That is why He’s asking, just a moment of your time
To hear about His sacrifice, here within this rhyme
He just wants to be that mate, that for you He would die
He wants to spend eternity with you and so do I
Yes we do things differently, and some things have to change
But once you’ve truly met Him you’ll notice something strange
This world no longer gives you what you get from seeking Him
And it matters not how bad things get your future seems less grim
Now I am not here promising a life devoid of strife
But confessing Jesus Deity assures eternal life
Confessing and believing that He is the Son of God
That He died for sin and now He is the risen Lamb of God
What happens now is up to you, I’ve shown you the door
With sincerity I beg of you, please do not ignore
As hard as it would be to look and see your empty chair
I simply cannot bear the thought of you not being there
